The Feedback Loop: Train & Check

The algorithm works best when it's part of a continuous feedback loop. By tracking your workouts and checking your MTQ scores regularly, you gain an objective view of your training volume that intuition alone can't provide.

If you see that some muscles are consistently hitting high scores while others are lagging, it's a strong indicator that your current routine needs an adjustment.

The Goal:

Reach your target scores across all muscle groups while minimizing "junk volume": sets that add fatigue without adding growth.

Practical Example

Identifying & Fixing Imbalances

Let's look at a common scenario: you're training hard, but your chest development seems uneven. You check your Plan Builder scores and see:

  • Mid Chest: MTQ 9
  • Upper Chest: MTQ 5

The Solution: Instead of just adding more sets (which increases total fatigue), you swap some mid-chest exercises (like flat bench) for upper-chest exercises (like incline press). This brings both scores to a balanced 7-8.

This way, you train more goal-oriented and efficiently, ensuring every set you do is working toward your specific goals.
